Of my samsung 7 inch tablet mounted above the 536.it makes it so much easier
To see and saves the back light on the 536.i just mute the audio on the siren app
And just use it as a remote head.works great.and Im not having any problems with it losing
Connection with the network.i have been seening other people saying they keep losing connection
I have not had that problem.

If your remote device remains "fairly close" (10' or less) to the scanner, you might consider using "Access Point Mode" rather than "Infrastructure Mode".

In Access Point, the connection is scanner to remote device.

In Infrastructure, the connection is scanner to router then to remote device.

Using Access Point removes the "middle-man" router.

I use a "de-commissioned" iPhone in my vehicle as the remote head. It is in a charging cradle to maintain battery charge.

There are still a few hiccups (at least in the iPhone app) where full functionality isn't present. For example toggling Quick Keys via remote device doesn't work.
