5775.5 KHz

I'm hearing some interesting traffic on 5775.5. Station ID's heard are "Delta", "Juliette", and "Hotel". Sounds like they're testing some sort of digital data trasnmission, but not being very successful at it.

Any ideas who? Hearing several stations S9 or better in Southern California. Time of post is 0342Z

Its the US Navy. It was mentioned in another thread that it may be a COMPTUEX for the USS John C Stennis. Reports have them also operating on 9031 kHz as well.Unfortunatly Im not hearing anything here on the East Coast.

Very good. Thanks! What's interesting is the informal nature of the comms. Sounds almost like hams playing around, except for the identifiers they're using.

They've also been using 5776.8. I noticed they have been rotating between the 2 freqs each day.

9031kc is RTTY at the moment 0439Z. Loud and clear in LA.

Im about 40 miles east of Point Mugu and have 'Hotel' anywhere between S7 and S9+20

Also copying weak Link-11 and ALE on the freq
