HP 650, The new copper we just purchased. It is being used around the KCK area. Don't know much about it, but it does belong to the State of Kansas and KHP operates it.
HP650 is flying patrol in Topeka tonight and I just heard them go down to I-35 to assist on a chase. The chase kicked up in Emporia and was in Johnson County the last time I heard- anyone in KC hear how it ended up?
KHP can talk direct to KCK on their radios since the trunk is actually piggy backed on the KCK system. In a KCK pursuit when the chopper is helping, it's easier to go direct with KCK than relay through two dispatchers.
