8879 Indian Ocean

The band was open from the West Coast to the Indian Ocean and East Africa this morning. I picked up some aero comms on 8879 for that region. Below is audio from Singapore 479 wkg Beira ACC in Mozambique as heard from my location. I'm guessing this is grey line DX because it would have been getting dark in that part of the world.

I monitored on the SDR-IQ and Wellbrook ALA1530. Tried again this morning but did not hear anything from Africa, however could hear Brisbane quite well. I also heard Mauritius working but they were much weaker.

8879 USB 1450z: JetStar 115 clg Brisbane and told to come up on 5634. Airbus A320 en route from Jakarta to Perth.

8879 USB 1452z: Springbok 191 wkg Beira Radio. Selcal CEDJ. Boeing 737-800. ZS-SJM. Mauritius to Johannesburg.
