We have a 996T in our dispatch center that's powered on 24/7, and it seems that after a few days all the buttons on the front become unresponsive. The dial continues to work, as do pressing the volume and squelch controls to change display color, etc. but none of the buttons respond. Sometimes just powering it off and on fixes it, but last night even that wasn't solving it. I finally got the keypad to respond again by holding down one of the keys during the boot-up sequence. Has anyone else seen this problem? Is this something maybe the newer firmware has a fix for or will we need to send the scanner in for service?
