i used arch996pro to download an edacs system into my bcd996t. when the radio scans the system, it will stop on the frequencies and i see the signal strength meter but i do not hear any audio. the scanner reads "id scan" when the system is unlocked.

the system i downloaded was:

st. louis, mo ameren-ue 800 mhz metro st. louis edacs.

any advise would be helpful.

i also use the bcd996t usad software. is there any easy way to place a downloaded system from arch996t pro into the bcd996t usad software.

If you are in ID scan mode, then the scanner will only monitor talk groups which you have actually programmed in for that system. Did you program talk groups in? If not, you'll want to run it in ID Search mode instead - you can set that by doing this:

Menu
Program System
choose system and push the dial
select Edit System Options and push the dial
Select ID Scan/Search and change it to ID Search mode

Then hit MENU til you are back scanning, or just press Scan/Search.

If you start hearing things in ID Search mode when you wern't hearing things in ID Scan mode, then either you don't have the talk groups programmed in that people are talking on or you may have those talk groups locked out. If you follow the same procedure as above, instead of choosing "Select ID Scan/Search" you should choose "Clr All L/O IDs" to make sure you don't have any locked out.

Although - it shouldn't _stop_ on any frequency in that EDACS system unless there is actively a conversation on it. You should see a signal on the signal meter while its scanning the system (because it's monitoring the control channel) - but if it switches from the control channel to another channel and you aren't hearing anything, then something may be incorrect in the programming.
