996T trunking issues

Ok guys,

I would like to enter the following into my scanner http://www.sydneyscan.com/trunking/aapt800.html Could someone please help by offering a step by step walkthrough on how to do this (manually) ? I am sure once i do it for the 1st time it should be plain sailing - I am at a total loss

Hi gas, trust me when I say that programming your scanner with software is much easier. You can just download talkgroups and scanner frequencies directly into your scanner. The best thing about it, is that it's not that expensive. The software has saved me from a lot of big headaches.

With the ARC996 software you can program the system using the download ability built into it.
It will take the info directly from the RR database. I believe this is the system your looking to program http://www.radioreference.com/modules.php?name=RR&sid=1897

Definately, however i was concerned that the software would not be compatable for the Aussie UBCD996t version? Do i get the new beta v2?

It should work on the UBCD996T as well. You can try the demo version and see.

Happy to announce that I have succesfully initiated 6 trunk systems in my Aussie 996t! Using the suppplied software. Great stuff - now i will learn about LTR trunking and CTSS tones..
