996XT stops then rx's nothing?

Hi any of you guru's out there know why a 996XT would stop ,display the NAC on a channel thats part of a system,play nothing but show signal bars?I dont see ENC or DAT so I thinks its another issue....
Sometimes I hear blerps of audio,maybe they are running faster data rates than the scanner can keep up with?Its annoying cause it does Stop and try.It does say LNK,if that helps.

Sounds like a programming issue, the scanner would never stop on a frequency for a trunked system. Only talkgroups.

Since my 996xt doesnt have a book,I cant look up what LNK means,what does LNk mean?
I think ENC= ENCRYPTED
DAT=DATA

LNK means data is being received on a voice channel

Ok if that is occuring,and I do hear voice blurps every now and then ,can this be fixed?
Can I reprogram the scanner correctly receive the voice part of the INTEROP channel?
I hear then talk then silence,blurp,ticking from speaker while I see LNK,its set to ALL (digital and analog) for that one channel

It sounds like there may be marginal reception on that channel in your location. Options are trying a different antenna or moving the radio to a different location if you are using the whip antenna on the radio.
