DPS dispatch put out a 998 for a shooting at mile post 75 on I-40. Shooting has involved a OFF DUTY Orange county sheriff's deputy and a truck driver. The truck driver has been shot and transported to Kingman hospital. multiple agency's involved. The O.C. has been detained at this time.

I'm surprised they put it out as a 998 if it was an off duty officer involving a completely different agency.

yeah me too, I think the O.C. part of it came out after the initial dispatch of the incident.
