Stations A new RNZI frequency

Here's a new one that I haven't heard or seen before - 6170kHz announced as Radio New Zealand Pacific playing Maori songs from 0350z then the news at 0400z/1700local - huge signal for me of course, 20dB over S9. The news and following programming was just a relay of the domestic National Service, a chat show with all sorts local topics including sports and upcoming events. As its mid-evening or later for you in the US might be worth a try..

After I found that signal yesterday, I checked on Dan's list and although there are many users of 6170kHz, RNZI is not one of them. Today I was there, toe-ing the line, waiting for the gun and........ nothing! Not even a carrier - perhaps it's not every day of the week. It's Friday here and 0400z is I believe Saturday so I'll repeat the experiment through the week....
