AAR Spectra

I saw a AAR spectra the other day in a locomotive. What was different about it, is it had a "A/D" button. Is that for a analog or digital selection? There wasn't a scan button so I doubt its a add/delete button for a scan list.

It's an astro spectra and if it's so-programmed, the button allows selection of analog or digital TX/RX modulation.
