Hello to all. A user by the name of @Kern63 is selling a SDS100 and had it at $700 this morning. he is only accepting Cashapp which dose not protect you from fraud. i believe this is a possible scam because I’ve seen this before.

I too been scammed out of $650 payout on cash app on this site. Users should be warned not to use any money transfers that dose not have a fraud protective system. I think Radio Reference should go by PayPal since they have protective fraud system.

Go buy it from one of the many reputable dealers who have it for $649 with a 30-day money-back guarantee. Buyer beware.

I sell lots of stuff on various forums and Facebook marketplace and I take Cash App... I am far from a scammer or fraudster.

Accepting CashApp and taking only CashApp as payment are two different things. CashApp has repeatedly been in the news as unsave,

He has since lowered the price to $550, now you won't lose as much :ROFLMAO:

I will add that OP is not directly accusing the seller of perpetrating a scam. The OP is saying that the seller's chosen method of payment does not protect the buyer which makes the OP suspicious of a scam.

So I've renamed this thread because the screaming title of "SCAM WARNING" makes it sounds like the seller is trying to scam people when the only real issue is the OP doesn't trust Cash App because he's been burned on it before.

RadioReference does not dictate how buyers and sellers are to conduct their business and expecting us to enforce a PayPal only rule would never be workable.

I would hope that @cstetter called the authorities and asked them to contact RadioReference for the seller's details. After all, $650 is a lot of money.
