They have declared it a hoax call......sadly someone wasted valuable resources for a fake call.

There was an active shooter report at the The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga today. Same result - no threat located. The discussion is in the Tennessee forum

Even though this was a hoax; the University can't let their guard down. It's possible someone wanted to see what kind of response their would be.
Hopefully, if that is the reason; the quick LE response along with University security and the sheer presence of that many LE agencies that responded will deter anyone from contemplating an active shooter scenario.

Exactly. Every call has to be responded to as though its real. Similar to the Coast Guard, who risk their lives responding to every distress call, real or hoax.
