Hey there,
Does anyone have the new freq's for Ada County EMS?
They have switched over to the 700mhz, and now we can hear them dispatched, but can't hear them talk back to dispatch, or give patient updates to the Hospitals.
Can any one help, I have The Pro 164 Triple Trunking Scanner from Radio Shack, and was told when I bought it, it would pick up the New Freq's.

Thanks
Russ

Russ,

See the IIMARS 700 MHz system for Ada County.

This system is a trunked digital system. The Pro 164 is not a digital scanner and will not decode the digital transmissions from this system. You need either a Uniden 396 or 996, or a GRE PSR 500 or 600 to listen to this system.

I believe they are patching the EMS dispatch to the vhf freq that you are hearing, but the mobile transmissions are not patched to vhf. Maybe someone from the Boise area can explain this further.
