Adding GSp channel

I have the Police,fire,sheriff all on different channels (1 2 3 4 etc).Now id like to add GSP to it,but dont know how to add it as a separate channel for them.I use psredit,but its still confusing as He** to me.Can someone tell me what im doing wrong?

what scanner are you using, programming by hand or Software. Conventional or trunked??

It appears you are in GA from your profile. Last I remember, Georgia State Patrol (GSP) has been using motorola iden type radio's for awhile and I don't think there is any way to monitor that. They do have a statewide VHF channel that gets used some, but it certainly isn't used all that much.

GSP does not use SouthernLinc anymore. If you live inside the I-285 perimeter, they use Atlanta's P-25 system. Outside the perimeter, they still use 154.680 as their base frequency, and 154.800 as their mobile frequency. 765.4375/ PL 156.7, as their mobile repeater frequency. It was updated in the RR database a while back.

I had someone add it on for me,but it seems their talk is on the local pd frequency as well.Also sometimes i get alot of static that the squelch doesnt fix and it just hangs on that channel

Okay, good to know. I was checking the DB and it did appear the they were on the P25 system now inside 285.
