Adding Text to 396T

I just bought a 396T as my first digital (other then a broken pro 96) and I am monitoring opp etc on p25. Is there a way to add text to where the talkgroup ID# would normally be? I have the top scrolling text named but would like to add names to certain talkgroups so i know which ones they are without referring to the talkgroup #'s on RR every time. Thanks

but I suspect if you have lots of text to enter, you will scream with frustration after awhile. Do yourself a favor; get the USB 1 cable and FreeScan. It will make your life a lot easier 73 Mike
