Looks like they finally started build out.

Noted new Site 3 and Site 5 in stagging.

Site 3
772.36875
772.69375
772.95625
774.23125cc

Site 5
769.35625
773.24375
773.99375cc

Not sure what the site locations are since the frequencies are licensed at half dozen locations.

Site 5 comes in really weak here in Ventura, close to -120dBm on the base. Can't hear any of the other 700 sites. Neither Lukens nor Site 5 indicate any neighbors.

Site 5 is very strong in the Century City/West LA area. Might be Mt. Lee?

The site 5 frequencies are licensed at:

San Vincente Peak (above Encino reservoir)
Franklin Canyon (above Beverly Hills)
Santa Ynez Canyon (above Pacific Palisades)
Baldwin Hills
100 Wilshire Santa Monica
2049 Century Park East
Lukens

So it seems like site 5 indeed focused on the coverage of West LA and Pacific areas.

Picked up site 4 control channel - 774.24375 NAC 344

A bit too weak at my location to run P25 trunk tracker. If anyone else can copy, maybe can help come up with the additional frequencies for the site.

I can hear it here in Ventura, coming in at roughly -103dBm on the base. When a receiver frees up here, I'll take a stab at it.

Thanks guys.

kearthfan101 whats your location?

Looking at frequency licenses (Oat, Mulholland, Glendale) the site seems to focus on coverage of the San Fernando Valley

North Hollywood

Looking at the frequency licenses for the other sites too, and will submit all those in my submission. I can get a good idea of what the remaining freqs will be since Site 2 & 3 have 7 total channels and Site 4 & 5 have 8 total channels. 4 control + 3/4 voice for each...

Also once I'm done here, I want to check Site 1. 855.1375 is listed but is the only freq not licensed to the city. Might be old, but I haven't looked at this system in a while.
***EDIT*** 855.1375 is no longer listed in control channels. showing 857.1625 as control with 854.0625, 857.5375, and 857.9125 as Alts.

I figure there will be lots of encryption but will there anything day-day/useful?
Let's just say not much activity for a little while.....
Encryption... Possibly, but for the purposes of this Forum and inquiring minds, you wont hear much activity right now... Maybe some, but dont burn your batteries waiting to hear something....

Just now noticed that the Lukens site is off the air. The last time I checked was a few weeks ago and it was on-air at 857.1625 MHz. No signal of comparable signal strength on 700 MHz.

IDk.. seems pretty obvious that they are STILL building this system out, and that it might be WHILE before its completed hence it might be a WHILE before you hear anything on it. Building out a trunking system takes some time, once its completed they still need to do coverage testing before they even start putting users on it...

I'm hearing both Phase 2 and Phase 1 CQPSK test patterns on some of the 800 MHz frequencies from KGE571 (858.0125, 858.6875, and 859.3125 seen between 858 and 859.5 MHz so far, testing still in progress as I type this). The signal strength varies a bit between patterns so I bet they're aligning a simulcast. Doesn't seem as strong as I remember the Mt. Lukens site being, but I've changed antenna arrangements a bit since then.
