Playing with the SDS-100 i discovered i get a county p25 800 mhz system coming in with a strong signal of -60 rssi and 5 bars. However, the radio jumps back and forth between the control and voice channel many times. I finally figured out if i adjust the squelch from 2 to 1 the reception is perfect. This is weird since the signal is very strong. Anyway, upon playing around with the radio i do not see anyway of adjusting the squelch for individual channels or favorite lists etc. It seems you can only adjust it for the entire radio. I assume this is how it is unless i am missing something. Any input on this issue? I assume uniden came fix this issue with a software update if they choose. The squelch on this radio seems to be a hot topic throughout these forums.

In the SDS-200, the squelch setting is indeed for the entire radio. Because it is set using a potentiometer, I don't believe that Uniden would have a way to make the setting programmable by channel without making a hardware change. On the SDS-100, not sure. However, if they could, that would create an operational inconsistency between the two models, so they probably wouldn't want to go there.

You can set an attenuator by channel. Not the same thing, but in some circumstances can be of help.

Configure the display to show D-ERROR and it will probably show that the voice channel have a high error rate due to interference. As you have such a high signal level you can activate the attenuator for that site and see if that helps.

You can also try and enter the voice channels frequencies by Channel+frequency+Channel and then do Fn+7 to activate IFX to it and see if that helps. There's also different filter settings for a site, Normal, Invert, Wide Normal, Wide Invert that can be tried.
