I had an unfavorable experience with them back in 2018 and have not used them since.
Customer service has generally been erratic at Zip. At times, they dot all the i's and cross all the t's But then there's a string of orders placed but never actually shipped. Or, supposedly shipped but no tracking number provided.

Lot of complaints back in 2018, when the SDS series scanners came out. Zip's web page hinted that they had them in stock, but when an order was placed, no tracking number was provided for a week or more (if ever), If you could get hold of someone there, either you'd get a stall tactic, before finally learning that they had no current stock, and were waiting for another shipment to arrive. Even though they did not ship, they promptly charged the card used for the order, and were very reluctant to refund the charge so that the customer could order elsewhere.

I've had packages confirmed as delivered yet no package was there when I checked.

USPS are the worst in that department, Amazon the best for fixing the problem post haste.
I am inclined to agree.

Zip Scanners did send me an e-mail basically saying, that. They would do it again by USPS(ugh).

At the bottom of the e-mail, there is this-

The Amazingness That is Your Order
We ripped open a new package of surgical gloves, put them on with care, then put on one more pair just to be safe. We then picked your order off our shelf, oh so gently, & placed your items on a fine satin pillow.

Our 4 person team stopped what they were doing to review your order & ensure the highest quality - nothing was missed. The 4 of us then discussed how amazing your order is - how this may be the greatest order in the history of orders. Wayne remarked this was the greatest order he had ever seen & how this was the greatest day of his life.

We then baked a cake with your name on it to celebrate this joyous occasion. After the celebration, we carefully placed your items in the finest shipping material known to mankind - cardboard.

When Johnny, the UPS guy, arrived in his chocolate-colored chariot, he was taken aback at the amazingness that was your order. He finished the celebratory cake, then we all lifted your package as one & wished it a safe journey.

As Johnny drove off into the sunset, a single tear flowed down Wayne's face.

Your order has now shipped.

I am going to take a wait-and-see attitude. This sounds too much like, a standard answer.

Yeah no sense giving this that much more thought, as others have said, you simply call the bank and dispute the charge for the reasons that they did not provide the product and you are unable to contact the vendor...

The bank will send you a single sheet to fill out and the less you say the better. Your card was charged, you didn't receive the product and you are unable to contact them to inquire. After a period of time they will just credit your card and end up charging zip at least $20 LOL.

While the decision is being made to refund your money which has a 100% chance of happening, you will not be charged any interest on the disputed amount. Happens all day, everyday.

I had an unfavorable experience with them back in 2018 and have not used them since.
I called the bank to verify the details of the charge. After this, I will not use them again.

Sign up for USPS Informed Delivery. Every day I get an email from them with images of everything coming to my mailbox in the next few days.
While I liked your idea. When I tried, the USPS website didn't like it. My address is non-standard (i.e. no St., Pl., Rd., Av., Blvd., Cir., Dr.), not even RFD.

That response from the vendor is a bunch of guano.

Either provide a valid tracking number that shows shipment progress and actual acceptance or expect a chargeback. Don't let them gaslight you either, your chargeback rights are for a limited amount of time.

Will NEVER order ANYTHING from this vendor. Thanks for warning us.

They are the mastermind of the most creative deception I ever heard of with scanner sales.

Call them up and explain, they may be able to help set it up based on your circumstances.

I would agree. You obviously have a valid USPS address, so Informed Delivery should accept it.

But I did find this on the USPS website...

Note: In rare instances, you may live in an eligible ZIP Code location, but can't sign up because your individual mailbox is not uniquely coded; this coding determines which images are provided to each Informed Delivery user and ensures that users can only view mail destined for their address. While most addresses are uniquely coded, not all are, especially in high density areas (e.g., apartment buildings or condos). If your address is not uniquely coded, you will not be able to sign up for Informed Delivery.

As a retired USPS letter carrier, I'm curious about how, and if you receive mail. I realize this might end up as none of my business, but I'm curious.

They are sending another one of the items out. It is supposed to be here Monday....we'll see.
Wow. Looks like nothing has changed in 5 years, shady, used car like business practices. Smoke and mirrors but no product and the O/P in this thread paid in full 3 weeks ago. Chargeback time.
I wish I hadn't bought the screen cover from them, in the first place. I just couldn't find any on Scanner Masters website.

The mail is delivered to a USPS location in the community. It is one of those communities across the lower 48. That has been around since the 1800s'. Where they have this insatiable need to remain anonymous. So when someone asks about an address in the community. The person who mentions their address is perceived, to be mistaken.
