SDR# Airspy separate power

Hi guys,

I decided today to make a separate power supply for my Airspy dongle using a battery bank, basically the USB data - and + go to the PC and the power + and - go to a battery bank hopefully eliminating any usb power noise that also powers my LNA unfortunately it doesn’t work my pc doesn’t see the dongle. what am I doing wrong?

You have to connect the ground ("power -" as you call it) between your Airspy and your PC. The data signals need a ground reference.
