Hey guys,
I am having problems monitoring the fire side of the Alachua County 800 System. I live in Keystone Heights in Clay County not too far from the Alachua County line. I see that on the database that there are three control channels for the County Trunking System... I was wondering if there was a fourth control channel that I may be able to pick up from this area for that system... When I am searching for talkgroups I am hearing GPD and ASO and some of the Utility Talkgroups just fine. Fire is the one I am having problems with. If anyone can give me any insight as to what is going on. I have the three control channels listed in the database with my scanner set to Control Channel Only. So if someone may be able to come up with another Control Channel or something I could try that would be helpful. Also by the way I was receiving the first supposedly alternate control channel as the control channel this evening. Could that may have been the problem as to why I am not receiving fire/rescue to well. I always also dont ever have any bars on my unit when receiving the channels or sometimes one bar only but never had a problem until now for receiving fire/rescue talkgroups. Hope some one will be able to help me. Just for information purposes where I am located at in Keystone Heights I am only about 9 Miles from the Alachua County Line. I thought that most systems that are repeaters depending on the wattage/output will receive up to 25 miles or more. I know that I am about 40 miles from the Duval County/Clay County Line and am able to sometimes receive JFRD with no bars but it comes in clear like I am sitting right on top of it. So, thanks again, if anyone can give me some information as to why I am hearing ASO, GPD, and UFPD loud and clear but not ACFR/GFR.
