Does anyone know if the Alamosa Fire Protection District is wholly within either Alamosa or Rio Grande counties? Or does it cover areas of both?
I did a Web search and couldn't find a map of the Colorado Fire Protection Districts. I found a list of them with contact info at <http://www.coloradofirechiefs.org/member.htm>. You could send an e-mail asking about district boundaries. A list of agencies can be found at <http://www.dola.state.co.us/dlg/local_governments/lgov_a.html> which includes the "Alamosa
County Fire Protection District" with an Alamosa address. According to <http://www.alamosacounty.org/depts/Assessor/millLevyRes.html> Alamosa County is taxed to pay for the "Alamosa County Fire Protection District".
Sometimes a county or even a state entity has a repeater outside the county or state (because of a convenient high point, etc.). In those cases I'm not sure where it is best to list the repeater (the repeater location vs. the served area, or both).
