Vastness of Alaska guarantees that there are still large areas with no radio or cell coverage. Most of the main road system has some level of cell coverage, save for parts of Tok Cutoff, Denali, Dalton, Elliott and Steese Highways, as well as parts of Southeast outside populated areas. State of Alaska as a whole has several agencies that use the Starlink technology - especially agencies that tend to visit the rural areas more. ALMR radio coverage mostly doubles the main road system, with the exception of the Tok Cutoff and anything north of greater Fairbanks area. Newer radios on the system now have wireless capabilities, that in theory will eventually allow them to operate on ALMR via wifi connection, and outside the physical system footprint.
