Is the original model no longer receiving updates? I've been trying to use conventional DMR without success, and P25 still has some bugs, so wondering if a new version is in the offing.

Thanks.

He has said that he is trialing the updates on the version 2 first, then will be porting them back to the original once deemed stable/kinks are ironed out. The improvements and updates are still coming (y)

Here is the post that may help answer the p25rx update question.

I'm still working on getting the new features released for the P25RX-II. After it is released, my plan is to start working on a version of the application that contains the firmware for both models. Hoping to have a P25RX-II release possibly this week or weekend. These are going to be big changes in order to support the new modulations and scanning. I'm sure not everyone will be happy with the added complexity. I may still need to maintain two or more versions (advanced and easier-to-use versions). Even though there is added complexity, I'm shooting for making the latest version more intuitive. We'll see how it goes.

Another post.

Short answer. The plan is to update the P25RX as well. This update is going to be a very large change. I do not want to recreate it all again for the P25RX as I have been doing up to now. My plan is this: After the new code is released for the P25RX-II and the changes/fixes have settled, I will start with that software/firmware and only make the changes necessary to make it work with the P25RX. I think I can make this work now that the code has been reorganized from the last big update. Most likely, the performance for scanning/searching will not be as good on the original model (it will be slower). There may be other issues. I can't say for sure until I get to it.
