Does anybody happen to know the radio frequency for Allen high School and Lowery Freshman Center. I would like to listen to them but can't find them and the one that's on the website for the stadium I can't hear nothing unless they're encrypted. It would be nice also to add elementary schools too in Middle School. To the website.

Allen ISD is using a multi-site Motorola Capacity Plus DMR trunked system. You will need a scanner (or SDR radios on a computer) capable of DMR (and on Uniden radios with that option, paying for the add-on DMR license) otherwise you will not be able to listen to them.

I previously had started work on trying to decode them while I was still in Frisco, but I had to go mobile to do so (which limited the opportunities to do so, and thus my data is incomplete which is why it has not been submitted to the RRDB). Now that I'm in Van Alstyne, it is even harder for me to do.

Chandler Elementary - Site 1, 463.8875, Color Code 11
Green Elementary - Site 2, 463.2500, Color Code 12
Lindsey Elementary - Site 3, 464.7875, Color Code 13
Stadium - Site 4, 461.6125, Color Code 14
Evans Elementary - Site 5, 464.3750, Color Code 15

I have noted other frequencies, but in my original investigation (back in August 2020), they weren't at that time showing activity like they were part of the Capacity Plus system.

Allen High School - 451.7875
Lowery Freshmen Center - 463.7625
Bus Operations - 464.0500, Talk Group 1, Timeslot 1, Color Code 5
General Channel - 463.9750 (This one is licensed for analog only, so it likely is not part of the trunked system)

I have a TYT MD- 380 so I don't know if that would work to pick them up if not what two way handheld radio do I need to pick them up. Looking for something I can program myself and not be a scanner. Thanks

I am not familiar with the TYT MD-380, but the spec sheet says it is DMR capable but nothing about trunking. My guess is, since the talk group assignments are unknown, and this is a trunked system that it may not be capable of fully decoding what's there (especially in light of the unique way that Motorola's Capacity Plus system operates compared to a standard DMR Tier III trunked system with a dedicated control channel). Once the talk groups are figured out you might be able to get some transmissions, but it may not follow the call without trunking support.

Looking back to my original research in August 2020, the trunked system logged the following talkgroups:

10
20
21
30
50
60
70
90
100

The current generation Uniden SDS-100 and SDS-200 with the DMR add on will receive the system when you buy the DMR add on. There are others, but my knowledge is based on owning both of those. Since both of those can be pricey, you can look into an SDR, and a laptop to monitor. I use DSDPlus (not expensive to license) for the software on the SDR, which is how I captured all the information I have above.

Here's the SDR that I use (or actually, I now have 6 of them):

Here's the Radio Reference Wiki on DSDPlus (the 1.1 version is rather old, and while it's a good start, the Fastlane version is worth the price):
