I just installed sdrtrunk on my intel core i9-9900k, with 32gb mem. I installed alpha 6 into its own directory, double clicked on the .bat file including running the library with success. connected my patriotwave Onyx dual channel sdr receivers but absolutely nothing happens no tuners show up, no waterfall...nothing. what am i missing, and how do i download the freqs on radio reference ( premium member) totally frustrated at this point. and know I am just missing something stupid.

Gonna start from scratch tomorrow. Delete anything that may be related tie virtual cabled etc. Sdrtrunk should be the easier to get going. I do have a real rty-sdr unit coming mind a but hope I can get something working tomorrow
As an ex IT PERSON. AS WELL AS. an extra class ham. Gotta just be old age or maybe the drugs i am taking for some pain issues. Will soon see.

You are not a dunce. SDR's can be a bit tricky, but you will catch on quick and enjoy how well they work.

Thing with virtual cables is you got to go to settings, sound, over on the right click sound control panel( old control panel sound manager) click the recording tab, scroll down to your virtual sound , double click it, click the listen tab..put a check mark in the box next to Listen to this device. Apply then ok

I don't use SdrTrunk much, but you should not need virtual cables. I think there are some recent and really good videos on Youtube related to SdrTrunk.

Why Alpha 6 when Beta 2 is the most current version?

No virtual cables are required.

You can make a mistake when using Zadig and end up destroying audio drivers for Realtek based sound devices - you should check that other sound sources play correctly. If so, you didn't.

You didn't mention if the program is decoding a control channel and displaying traffic channels.

The Onyx sdr seems to be an esoteric device. Do you have any simple 820T2 devices to test?
