Anchorage Police-Fire?

Hello, I am travelling to Anchorage in two months and I am curious if I should just bring my Kenwood with me or digital scanner. I see that Anchorage Police are listed in the Database with analog conventional frequencies, I also see information about them moving to a digital trunking system. Can anyone advise what system they are actually using? Thanks.

As far as I know, APD are still on the UHF frequencies while Simulcasting to the 700MHz P25 trunked system.

Yes they are still on the old systems but are using the new p25 system in some instances
