Whats up people is it just me or did Uniden create a defective product? My Uniden bcd325p looks like at the antenna port that it leans a little bit to the right not sure if this is a defective product or this is how the scanners were made? seems to work fine

thanks

It does look a bit tilted towards the right.
Is the BNC jack itself good and tight to the chassis when you try and wiggle it without an antenna attached?
I talked to the people over at bearcat wearhouse they are saying that some of these rubber antennas and the housing are manufactured that way and they have little kinks like that, does not wiggle around though or anything

That is normal for a BNC connector to have a bit of play in it, and would let the antenna lean to one side in reference to the bayonet pin orientation. I have other scanners that do the same thing. My BCD325P2 antenna does not lean as the BNC spring is pretty tight on the antenna connector, but I can wiggle it from side to side a good bit.

That's a sure sign the antenna is just crooked.
My 325P2 antenna is 90 degrees off from the table I set the radio on so it does not appear to have any lean any direction.
Mine basically aligns perfectly with the first column of keypad buttons.

I guess the main thing is that your BNC jack is tight and you don't see any reception problems.

Yeah the radio works perfectly and the when i try to turn the antenna knob its very very hard to take off i put a lot of force into it, they said these antennas are meant to bend slightly should i be worried about that? I am getting a new upgraded antenna
