if i use an old cb trunk mount for my 2 meter rig will there be a problem?

Are you talking about using just the mount? or the whole trunk mount antenna? If it's the whole antenna, then what band are you planning on transmitting on? If it's for 10 meters, then you'll be fine and should trim the antenna for 10 meters.

its just for rxing on the bands i was wondering if there is a difference on coax i should use
Why don't you get a $20.00 lip mount 1/4 wave VHF antenna? They are cheap and would work a LOT better than a CB antenna for 2 meters.
