antenna mounting question

i want to mount a small radio shack scanner antenna on top of a mast that contains a tv antenna.

can anyone advise how far away i should mount the scanner antenna from the tv antenna?

if the scanner antenna is mounted on top of the tv antenna would i have interference from the tv antenna since the scanner cable passes through the tv antenna.

A few feet of separation would be fine and you shouldn't notice any interaction between the two.
