Any news on KCMO P25 system

The last update that I recall indicated that KCMO would migrate to P25 in July using most of the existing frequencies. RR still lists the old frequencies and talkgroups. I am assuming that they have met some delays. Anyone with info on their progress?

So it looks like they will have the same system as Johnson Co....great ....any digital scanner should work I hope....thanks very much for the information....Mike

Glad to help.

I don't know if you have been monitoring the discussion on the Johnson County thread (on the Kansas forum), but there have been a number of complaints about trying to monitor the P25 multicasting system. Hopefully you wont see the same issue in KCMO.

That's the first talk of Grandview and Raytown... I'm getting excited for this new changeover!!!! Also isn't Independence Simulcast?! I don't have any problems receiving it, even from 30-40miles away...

Yes, it's horrible and renders monitoring from neighboring Counties virtually impossible.
