I have a Jabra 25e Bluetooth earphones with battery on neck, which are working fine with IC-R30. Unfortunately my Redmi Buds 3 Pro won't pair with Icom. What other TWS buds style earphones are you using and will work with IC-R30?

I use a Shokz bone conduction headset. Better that any earphones/buds I have tried and allow you to be aware of your surroundings because they don't go in or cover your ears.

Yes, but it is similar to my Jabra. When I attend an airshow I have a DSLR and a long telephoto lens on my neck and I would like to try some buds style TWS earphones instead.

That's interesting, I've some bluetooth items, earbuds, Sony headphones etc and they all paired with my IC-R30 instantly.

I've yet to get anything to pair with my Yaesu and Kenwood handhelds.

I'm using a pair of Soundcore Life A1 and they work very well.

Airpods pro (1st gen) also works fine with r30. I prefer it because of the Transparency mode which lets outside sound in, so you can hear what's going on around you.

I've ended with TOZO NC2 and it worked well on NATO DAYS air show. Half time on left and the other half of day on the right one.

The newly released AirPods Pro 2nd generation work very well with the Icom R30.

I prefer Aftershokz. I can't imagine how they would interfere with a serious photo rig as they don't hang out on your neck. Second choice would be Microsoft Surface Earbuds, depending on your ear shape they may allow external sound for situational awareness. Aftershokz connected to the R30 and the Surface buds to my phone are the ticket for casual dog walks.

Cambridge Audio's earbuds stomp the previously mentioned for audio quality. Being sealed I only use them while listening and working when hearing protection is required.

Yep… I believe that‘s what they’re still going for. Original purchase was for music listening, hence was willing (and able) to shell out the money. Very happy with them for their primary purpose. Secondary use is R30 listening. So I’m curious… what’s the point of your question? The OP didn’t mention a price point. Was simply, “what else is compatible”. ;)

My point is that is way too much to spend. Of course you knew that already.

I use the Icom SP40 earphone that can double as an antenna. Runs about 32$.

One thing I have found with some Bluetooth headsets when used with comms gear is that they don't mute; there is a continuous background hiss when the radio is squelched which becomes tiresome after a while. This is not an issue I note using the Icom VS3.
