Anybody ADDICTED ?

I have to say I am a scanner junkie.....what's worse is I can't do with out ALPHA TAGS , holy smoke I see a good deal on a scanner and if it doesn't have ALPHA - forget it. :roll:

Is it bad when u can't leave the house without a scanner in hand? Would that classify me as a junkie too? I always take my pro 96 with me to every place I go. I have the alpha tags done before I go on it. I even use the pro 97 for racing. I use the alpha tags for the racing stuff also.

Yep iam a scanner junkie I take my scanner everyware with me I can allways find somrething to listen to

It's almost like a drug. I go through serious withdrawals if I happen to forget it or I see cops flying by my workplace and I'm unable to listen at the time. I am an addict, I need help!!.........help getting more scanners!!!!!!

I'm glad I'm not alone here. Some of my friends think I'm crazy. My g/f can't stand it but I told her before we dating that I listen to scanners. I carry my scanner into WalMart, Subway, and every place I go. This is the best hobbie every!!!! Scanners ROCK.

Same here! I am a dispatcher and you'd think I'd get tired of it but I don't. I take my 396 with me everywhere I go. Even if I am just running to the store 2 minutes away, the scanner goes with me.

Never know when something is going to break loose. If you don't have the scanner you'll miss it.

The worst thing is reading the morning paper, finding out something big went down at about 3am and thinking " I wish I had heard that ! I live in NJ and came from NY so theres alot of good stuff on the "late show". Joe

I know that for sure , many a trip I've taken through the Jersey Turnpike in those hours driving up North....LOL and if I didn't have my scanner "jones" going , I wouldn't have heard a thing.....LOL and double grin

I take my Uniden BCD396T with me, whether or not I need to or am going to use it. I wouldn't say I am "addicted" though.

Now, Dr. Pepper, that is what I am "addicted" to.

yep im addicted i have two scanners in my house one in my car and a fridge with dr pepper in it

Won't even look at a scanner with less than 4000 memories. There is so much to listen in my area it's nuts. Trying to fill my 396T to 100%. So far I'm at 2000+ freqs/talkgroups which is the scanner reports as 31% filled. I got a long way to go....

Um, does having every computer in your house one a local network stream count? If so I'm not even going to ask about the one in my car or the one i carry around that i use an ear bud on so I can here it!
