Anyone else having a problem installing the XP driver?

Anyone else having a problem installing the XP USB cable driver?

When I try to install the driver for the PSR-500's USB cable, this is what I get. I also didn't get the Windows popup screen that appears in step 1.1.

BTW, to get the screenshot, I had to copy the XP driver directory on the CD to a temporary directory on my C:\ drive. Then I executed the exe file from within a batch file, using the pause command to keep the window from closing. If I didn't do it this way, the DOS window would close quicker then I could get the message.

rename CDM 2.02.04.exe to driver.exe and try again. The spaces have been known to throw DOS.

Wrap it with quotes....

"CDM 2.02.04.exe"

It still gave me the same message.

However, i'm uploading/downloading from the scanner now, so it must have installed properly somehow.....

And to think, I work with computers for a living

Hmmm, wonder if you received a corrupt CD image........

Will the demo software properly install on a Vista Machine?

Yeah you have to go to the Vista folder and it works fine.
