All those frequencies you had dialled in were Russian Volmet stations - unfortunately the problem you seem to be having is overloading the input of the radio and the AGC time constant is far too short for good SSB - all those stations are on USB -here is the info...

SW Volmet Broadcasts

...in the 9Mhz section. Try 10.051Mhz on the hour and half hour for New York and Gander.

Heres a new 1 ( to me ) 6755.10 .usb.... Airport wx. , just shut off... Lucky catch, pure luck..

No... not quite. Trenton Volmet is on 6754khz. I thought you calibrated your Alinco??? I think it's time to buy yourself a working HF receiver. :D

I re-set it.. Now its saying 6755.25

Per the service manual for the X11, the offset is 1.5khz +/- 300hz.

So for you, you would need to take the 1.25khz difference that you're seeing and subtract that value from the displayed frequency in USB mode. It would be reversed in LSB mode.

USB 6755.25 - 1.25 = 6754khz
LSB 6752.75 + 1.25 = 6754khz

So this 1.25khz value is your radio's specific reference value. (Hopefully it won't change.)

So you can do this manually in your head... or per the service manual, you can enter into the Adjustment Mode and modify the values such that the displayed frequency is shown to be correct.

If you don't feel comfortable doing this then just calculate it in your head.

Alinco

Look under the Service Manual section for the documentation.
