Hi im looking for the rotary encoder (vfo control) for my Aor 3000A does anybody know where I might get one or has anybody got a scrap 3000a they would sell rotary encoder from.

How much you willing to pay?

I think you may have to buy a defective AR3000A and strip the part you need.

However ...

There are a few other things you can try:

Remove the rotary encoder and strip it down for cleaning; using cleaning products for electrical components.

The rotary encoder used on the AR3000A was part no: SRBM2L-1

Thanks I stripped it down bent the prongs to give them more spring but its still not 100%. I contacted the company that makes the encoder but they have stopped doing them. I have ordered an audio rotary encoder from China that is smooth turning I will see if that sorts it and report back.
