OK, now I was able to download build 11. Had to uninstall ver 7 first to get it to install right. Instead of using the Uniden USB cord, I am using a 6 foot USB 2.0 A-male to mini-B cable I bought from Amazon. Bought 3 of these because wanted to see if they would work as well as Uniden cables. Each cost I think $5.99. Well I think the cable fits tighter in the 536HP mini USB port than does the Uniden cable. Seems like a more solid connection.
Anyway, the mass storage function seems to be fine with Amazon USB cable, and guess what, the serial port function, at least for now, seems to be great. For the first time now Gommert, I am able to read the entire names of all talkgroups. The two common TGs, as an example, on the LA ICIS P25 Pasadena Site that the previous versions (up to ver 7 before sent 536HPs for replacement) would not show on the virtual screen or log properly were: TG 2163 Burbank PD Tac 3 - Patch and TG 2480 Simulcast - CHP Altadena Brown Channel. Note the hyphens in the TG descriptions. Up to ver. 7 could not seem to handle these hyphenated names well. Now ver 11. seems to be doing fine.
Only thing is I note that on many P25 channels like LAPD, every time a channel comes on, the hit count seems to read 2 hits instead of 1. Had ver 11 running like this for a couple of hours without any major problems.
I presume this improved function is due to your software updates. Tomorrow I will try using the Uniden USB cable that does not fit as snugly. Will be curious to see what happens. But things seem to be looking better.. Hey, at least now I can hear the audio with my headphones very clearly. Even at 10 or 12, sometimes too loud. That's the way I like it.
