I didn't even know they were still around! They contracted with Wild Oats and Safeway for loss prevention several years ago and i worked for them. My partner and I just used FRS radios. Hopefully they have something better in place by now!

Thats neat to hear that the Argus name is still around.
I use to work for them in 02-03 then securitas bought us out and
it was a cluster thereafter.
Anyway just wanted to say hi to my fellow Argus bretheren and
that up here in Spokane WA we used a contracted analog 800Mhz LTR system
for both standing and mobile patrol.

Dumb question time...
If there are transmitter addresses listed, does that mean the freqs are repeated?

They do a lot of the event work at CU but I've yet the chance to track down their frequencies there.
Not always but with these they are because you can see the natural repeater pair listed.

Argus Security vs. Argus Event Staffing
You all are confused. Argus Security Services that did uniformed and Loss Prevention work for Safeway is a different company then Argus Event Staffing. Argus Security did sell the contracts to Securitasmysalad and shut down mostly, due to the health of the owner in Spokane, WA. Argus Event staffing is still in business and does event staffing for concerts and stuff like that Argus Companies - Home. The only similarity is that to the best of my knowledge, neither company used any form of quality radio. Only cheapo FRS/GMRS that were mostly purchased by the employees themselves.
