Ashtabula PD?

Anyone know for sure how to listen to Ashtabula City PD? It looks like they're part of MARCS possibly, but is anyone actually hearing them?

They are not on Marcs.
They use a digital 700mhz frequency that’s listed in the database under Ashtabula County. You’ll have to be fairly close to hear them though.

Kinds confusing since the database does reference MARCs for the PD. Looks like only dispatch is 700MHZ then?

Agreed, the description for MARCS under the Law Enforcement heading on the Ashtabula page should have Ash. City PD removed as a primary user.

When Ash. City PD left VHF they initially went to MARCS but found coverage inadequate. The standalone 700 MHz repeater was installed so they didn't have to scrap all those new 700/800 MHz portables & mobiles.

The original Ash. PD MARCS talkgroups (6514 & 6523) appear to have been repurposed by the fire department. I suspect Ash. PD still subscribes to MARCS to maintain interoperability with the Sheriff & other Ashtabula County law enforcement.
