Hey all. How much of the Alaska State Troopers system is encrypted? Heading up there this summer on vacation and it'd be nice to be able to listen in also.

If that's all you care to monitor, forget about it in many areas like Fairbanks, Palmer, Wasilla and possibly Anchorage. There's always a few units in the clear but not enough to make it worthwhile.
BTW, it's not the Troopers system, it's a big statewide trunked system that most Public Safety agencies around the state use. The Troopers happen to be one of those users.
