Did anyone read the 3rd sentence? It's not just for the feds...
"The service is aimed at government bureaus, law enforcement, financial services institutions and international businesses."
So why do we raise a fuss about just the feds using it?
In my opinion(s), if the feds are worried about people monitoring their wireless phone calls, then they have bigger problems then worrying about whether the traffic is encrypted or not. Honestly, the good spies (and spy agencies) can get around this (encryption) no problem. The speaker isn't encrypting the message, only the device is. This alone will cause some to breach opsec protocols and use more plain language, thus negating the need for some fancy encrypting protocols, when the bug in the room hears it all, before it ever makes it through a wireless network.
No news here...
