Athens Tn.....2 fighters today

Anyone see the 2 fighters fly over Athens today ? I think they were F-15's but when they cleared the trees and i got a look at them they were going away from me.
I had no chatter on any of my Milair freqs.

I heard them, but I could not see them from where I was standing.

I heard no chatter either but when they flew over me, they were F-15's

Heard another one (or more) around noon last Friday.

I hear C-130's about everynight flying the mountains.

A few years ago we were heading up to the Dragon on Calderwood Highway(us129 in Blount county) and I look across the lake and see a C-130 at what appeared to be 2 inches over the tree line, boy was that a surprise.

About 3 months ago i was headed for Madisonville and movement caught my eye over to the left of the car, It was a C-17 at about 3000 feet, It came right over 411 above me, And it scared the dog snot outta me it was so low and big....LOL

I live in Reliance and a C-130 used to come up the Hiwassee river gorge at least weekly during the night and at about 500 feet. Sure would wake you up if you were asleep. Not heard one in a long long time now though. Years ago during the Vietnam era fighters would fly the gorge all the time and rattle the windows out of the house with sonic booms. They would be extremely low training for below radar missions I suppose.
