Why is someone with the eBay user name of fuzzalert auctioning the link to this site? Is Radio Reference behind this? Seems really off the wall for someone to do this.

I had a friend win this auction and this is the site that he received. "http://radioreference.com/modules.php?name=RR"

The auction doesn't tell you what the site is. You must first pay up front and then the seller gives you the link.

It sure sounds like this site , however I did not see any reference with this sites name on it.
Could be interesting to find out.

Like wise, what other site here in the U.S. has so much coverage and participation by it's members.

I have to go back to the California forum - as I saw someone start a thread regarding hiring someone to man a radio room in So Cal. Maybe a link to this. Something fishy to me!

I feel that someone should not profit on a site that is available to scanner listeners who already pay a fee to access RR and the additional information provided to us.

I maybe thought that e-bay thread might have something to with this. Excuse me for being human and have consideration and respect for this site.

As for my signature, I am proud of what I do and will do for my Country and the Community I live in as a public servant and for my volunteerism.

I just am not seeing how you connected the two links together is all. One is from some guy selling a link to this site on Ebay and the other is to a thread on this site to a guy offering a job. See where I am coming from?

Anyway, I would still like to know if it is legal for him to sell a link to the database here on RC. The sad thing is that it is one of our members thats doing it...

I tell you I have access to the best commercial locator in the XXXXX area and I will give it to you for only $1. You pay me and I give you a link to Google Maps.

Lindsay can change the Users agreement but it would put a burden on others that use the site for profit. (Butel - Win)

Just keep track of all the efforts this guys makes to make a dime and inform his bidders.

Did the friend get an email address? Perhaps it could be traced to a user on the site and we could all have fun.

The way I look at it is that he is making money off of the info in the link he is selling and not the link its self. I would think that would be in violation of the copyright and Lindsay should put it to the guy Now if we can just figure out who it is thats doing it

Sorry, my mistake. I do know that and made an error when I wrote it.

I was shocked that someone would want sell a link to RR and doing that as member as well. Sad!

Being a person who is suspicious of nature; I thought that there might be a link. Since this is not a job site, either.

Radio Resource, I have become a new member recently, is a great resource and I do not want anyone to utilize it for there own personal gain.

Since, it is a site made up of people who have a common bond and are the ones who have collectively made it successful, I want to protect it.
