I monitor from the east end of Prescott Valley using four scanners connected to two antennas in the attic. Normally listen to District 12 repeater on 460.425, which is normally L&C. In the past couple of days I've noticed the reception is greatly reduced, to the point that I'm not even receiving it on one of my four scanners. I realize they can transmit on this frequency on more than one repeater. I was wondering if anyone knows if the repeater I usually hear is out of service or if the transmitter power has been reduced? I'm not familiar with where their repeaters are located.

The only map I have that shows transmit locations is 25 years old, showing sites at Juniper Mtn, Mingus Mtn, Towers Mtn, Schnebly Hill and Sunset Point on 460.425 for D12. I don't know if that is still accurate. If anyone has a more recent map please share.

There have been lots of lightning strikes in Yavapai County thanks to the regional summer monsoon being compressed into a one week long period.

It may be weather related.

That map is a help, but the mountain named Squaw Peak, was renamed Porcupine Mountain under Secretary of the Interior's Order number SO 3403 - 'Joint Secretarial Order on Fulfilling the Trust Responsibility to Indian Tribes in the Stewardship of Federal Lands and Waters', dated November 2021.

Squaw Peak is considered a derogatory term to Native American females.

i noticed, that Florence is in a split between 11 and 6, by chance, did Florence get moved to 11 or still in 6, when i was there till 94, it was always district 6, and if so what's changed?

District 5 got blown up into Metro East, Metro West, Capitol Division [the old AZ State Capitol Police that was disbanded], and Motors.
When there was I-17 and I-10, everything worked well in District 5. When they added the terribly named 101 [was that Cactus Road in Peoria or in Scottsdale?], the 202 [EV or South Phoenix?], got rid of the 360 and started calling it the 60 [Grand Avenue or the East Valley extender?], the 143, the 51, and other confusing ADOT stuff; District 5 became extinct.

The Metro E.V. keeps growing and District 6 is shrinking as a result. Toltec and Eloy as D-6 may disappear one day when Metro East meets Oro Valley.

It was one thing to grow into this over 35-45 years of working the road and learning over time, but Heaven help the new FFer. EMT, Cop, or Sheriff straight from hire.

That would be scottsdale, , 🌵 cactus stopped and turned to Thunderbird rd.
So now globe is dispatch for Florence AZ, I know the fd is now on topaz, geez, it's all confusing, drive a mile south and get Tucson dispatch, go one mile wet, same thing.
I remember that the 460.475 was for Florence junction and north and east, and 460.025 was always district 6 for final, proper.

That's one of the first thoughts I had. One of the reasons I made the post, to see if anyone had heard of any of the DPS repeaters being hit.

To the OP:

Did the signal strength improve?
Yes. After a few days I started getting it again on the radio that I had lost it on. Signal strength appears to be a little less than it used to be, but it's there now. Lacking any info to the contrary, I'm guessing it was weather / lightning strike related.

Cactus Road exists between North 19th Avenue west to North 91 Avenue and the Loop 101. It is used as a reference by Highway Patrol, Peoria Police, MCSO, and many other LE agencies/FD/EMS agencies.

The distance between NW Grand Avenue/US 60 & 93 and West Thunderbird Roads is not inconsequential.
