I recently picked one of these up at a pawn shop. I can't seem to find a user's manual anywhere. I want to program it. Any suggestions?

Thanks. Seems to work well, but I just discovered that the mic doesn't work and the PL codes mentioned in the manual don't match what is in the radio. Oh well, I only paid $25 for it...

OK the mic doesn't work but what part of it? There are two types, the plain Jane European model and the US one with a DTMF keypad. Since repeater autopatch has gone the way of the dinosaurs you don't need it anyway, if the PTT doesn't work you have a wire broken usually at the connector or where the cord enters the mic body, both flex points. If there is no audio again a broken wire or the electret element went south, it can be replaced with any junk box electret that will fit.

What do you mean the PL codes don't match? I don't remember how they're displayed but the chart may be found on page 8. Pay particular attention to the note at the bottom and procedure on page 9. If you can count you can enter the correct code.

As an aside, too bad Azden stopped manufacture and service of Amateur transceivers years ago to concentrate on broadcast equipment, none of which I have ever seen. I used to know Lou (SK) owner of the Long Island NY service center and member of LIMARC, one heck of a great guy. My first 2M rig is the PCS-7000H (the last model they made) going strong in almost continuous packet radio service since 1995. How's THAT for reliability?

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.2.1; en-us; Vortex Build/FRG83) AppleWebKit/533.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/533.1)

I entered what was suposed to be the code for 141.3. It did not work. The mic has CH UP/CH DOWN buttons on the top, and a red wire appears to have come unsoldered from the connector. Also, the power wiring appears to have been cut very short and then spliced together and wrapped in electrical tape. The power button doesn't work very well, you have to hit it a couple of times.
