Just about every 3 days i have to recharge my batteries because i listen constantly on the way to and from work. I was thinking of removing the batteries and just running off my charger hook up.Can anyone advise if this is not recommended? I have heard people comment to charge at home and not trust the built in charger. Thank You.

doesnt seem like a problem run it off the charger, just remove the batteries to set the switch to ALKALINE / charge OFF so the batteries arent being charged

you can also purchase a 6V cigarette car adapter from radio radio shack (or the uniden one from uniden direct) if your running it in the car (get the B tip)

Thanks torontokris, I have the cigarette plug in however switching to alkaline is a good idea to not be charging.

my batteries do that 2 every 3 - 4 hrs need to be charge ! these batteries came with the scanner over
year 1 1/2 ago so maybe need new batteries now !
