Well, I made it back from my trip to Austin. We actually stayed with family in Killeen. We weren't expecting the 4 inches of snow that fell at my mother's house the first day we were there, but it was a nice change and it was all gone by Sunday night. While we were there, the wife and I toured the Round Rock PD and the Williamson County Communications Centers. Everyone was really friendly and informative.
I took my 396 along for the trip. Unfortunately, I never got a chance to try it out on the Austin/Travis system but it worked well on Williamson County for the short time I got to use it there. Since we ended up spending most of our time in the Killeen area, the 396 saw more time on Bell County's EDACS system.
