I am going to be buying a base antenna for my PRO-106. Before I do I have a question...

I listen to trunked 800 MHz and EDACS, plus analog frequencies. With that being said do I need to get an all-band antenna or can I get a dedicated 800 MHz yagi antenna?

My only worry is the yagi antenna won't pick up the analog frequencies.

All help would be appreciated. If I need to provide further information for anything then please ask.
Thanks!

Yagis won't work too well below their designed frequency, so that's a concern - however if 800 Mhz is all you intend to listen to, a Yagi will work very well for you.

It's a marketing ploy that makes people think that an antenna is specifically 'designed' for 'digital'. It's a bunch of nonsense, nothing more. To what 'analog' frequencies are you referring? If they're also in the 800 mhz area, the Yagi will hear those just as well, and perhaps a tad better.

Best Regards...Mike

Well Im not to sure if the analog is around 800MHz, however I do know it is ALL Fire/EMS, and everything around here that is trunked Fire/EMS is in the 800 MHz range so if I were to guess it would be around 800 MHz.
