Seems as many feeds are down at the moment, My stream in Bathurst Aus is also down.

Not sure how long before its up and running again.

Stream is back up and running !

Can anyone answer the question of the highest amount of users on one stream.. I am expecting quite a high number of users on this stream around 10th Oct (Bathurst 1000 Races) , was hoping server could handle it. I have seen notes where 2000 users and up are possible.. ?

Yeah Dave i think the record is 3200 or somewhere like that. ill probably be on your stream in 2 weeks time as well like i was in the past
should apply here to put up a temporary stream here or are you streaming on your main for the day?

The Boulder feed had 3700 connections a few weeks ago for the Co fires.

My fire feed had amlost 3200 connections a couple weeks ago for the San Bruno gas line explosian.

We have the ability to add servers & scale as we need.

We are able to Handel large loads.

HI Richard, thanks for the information, very handy to know as i was thinking of applying for another feed to run over a week in case. If you can add servers etc for feeds , i wont have to now.

Yah, feed listener count has reached 2 & 3,000 several times in the last year. Average overall RR listeners is around 9-11,000 in the US evening time.

What makes the Bathurst races so popular with listeners? I don't think most Americans have heard of it before.

The Bathurst 1000 is a 1000 kilometer (>620 mile) touring car race over a 6km (~4 mile) race course on a mountain racetrack. The race itself lasts several hours and uses two drivers per car. Some Americans (and others) have heard of it; I flew down from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, to watch the race this year. It is considered the biggest motorsport event in Australia.

Dave, the Grand Finals better wrap up tomorrow, I'm not sure what people would do if there had to be another replay on Bathurst Sunday.

Don't forget to mention the 24 hour. Too bad it died but it looks like a 12 hour Supercar race is coming to the circuit next year.

Wow, that's some exciting racing. Gotta have some serious stamina to do all those turns in short succession. I'll try to listen in later this month and see what happens.
