BC125AT: Battery Level effecting Receiving?

(My model is the European BC125AT, the UBC125XLT)

Does battery level effect the range that my scanner is receiving, or am I going crazy?

I notice that (2.85V being fully charged) when my scanner reaches ~2.4V and lower, I start to get lower receiving range, less talking, etc. Is that possible? Does this have a logical explanation?

Thanks.

I have the same model, but haven't noticed such issue - even when the battery is almost empty (scanner emitting "beeps") the reception is the same as with fully charged battery.

I don't have the European model, but on both of my US models, I've never noticed it affecting reception as long as the battery has enough juice to power the radio. The only time I've ever really noticed something like that was in the last few seconds before the radio would shut off because there wasn't enough battery power. The audio might get a little bit choppy and then you wouldn't hear the beeping sound that occurs every few minutes letting you know the radio was no longer on and had shut off. I've had some other older scanners that do the same thing in the last few seconds of operating. The audio just gets a little choppy and then the radio powers off. But it's never affected my reception as long as it was powered up and even while it was beeping to let me know the battery was needing to be replaced or charged.

I could be wrong but I don't think a radio's battery power affects things like the sensitivity and selectivity on electronics. If the batteries are low, the ability for the radio to still receive a weak signal or any signal should not be affected I don't believe. There may be someone out there that knows more and can say whether this is true or not. But I do believe that this should be correct.

@istamov Thank you. Sounds like I'm paranoid

@letarotor Thank you, too. I see... Well, seems like I'm just paranoid and it happens.

Exactly!! I can't even find a -logical- reason myself, thats why I am asking here.

Oh well, seems like I found the problem. It's not on the scanner or the charge, it's me xD. Poor batteries, I just bought new ones and have recharged them from 2.3V 5 times.... Agh... xD
